Very easy and stylish crochet square blanket pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in your choice of colors
• Crochet hook (size appropriate for your yarn)
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Square:

1. Start:
   • Make a magic ring (or ch 4 and join to form a ring).
   • Chain 3 (counts as a double crochet throughout) and work 2 double crochets into the ring.
   • Chain 2, 3 double crochets into the ring, chain 2 – repeat * to * two more times.
   • Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning ch-3. Fasten off.
2. Joining:
   • Join a new color with a slip stitch in any chain-2 corner space.
   • Chain 3, 2 double crochets in the same space, chain 1.
   • 3 double crochets in the next chain-2 space, chain 1 – repeat * to * around.
   • Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning ch-3. Fasten off.

1. Repeat:

   • Repeat step 2 until you have the desired number of squares for your blanket.
2. Assembly:
   • Arrange your squares in the desired pattern.
   • Join the squares together by slip stitching through the corresponding stitches on two adjacent sides.
   • Continue joining squares until you have completed the rows.
