  • Worsted weight yarn
  • Crochet hook (size H/5.0mm or as recommended for your yarn)

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Single Crochet (sc)

Pattern:

  1. Start by making a slip knot and chaining 6. Join the chain with a slip stitch to form a ring.
  2. Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as your first double crochet), work 15 more double crochets into the ring. You should have a total of 16 double crochets, including the starting chain-3. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain-3 to close the round.
  3. Round 2: Chain 3 (counts as your first double crochet), double crochet in the same stitch as the chain-3. Chain 2, skip the next stitch, and work 2 double crochets in the next stitch (Repeat from * to * 7 more times). Chain 2 and join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain-3 to close the round.
  4. Round 3: Chain 5 (counts as your first treble crochet and a chain-2 space). In the next chain-2 space, work (tr, ch 2, tr), chain 2 (Repeat from * to * 7 more times). Join with a slip stitch to the third chain of the initial chain-5.
  5. Round 4: Slip stitch into the next chain-2 space. Chain 3 (counts as your first double crochet), double crochet in the same space. Chain 2, skip the next treble crochet, and in the next chain-2 space, work 2 double crochets (Repeat from * to * 7 more times). Chain 2 and join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain-3 to close the round.
  6. Round 5: Chain 3 (counts as your first double crochet), double crochet in the same stitch as the chain-3. Chain 2, in the next chain-2 space, work (tr, ch 2, tr) (Repeat from * to * 7 more times). Chain 2 and join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain-3 to close the round.
  7. Fasten off and weave in the loose ends.
