Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in your choice of colors
- Crochet hook appropriate for your yarn (usually around size G/4mm)
- Stuffing material (polyester fiberfill or scrap yarn)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Instructions:
Pincushion Base:
- Start with a magic ring.

- Round 2: Work 2 sc in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
- Round 3: 1 sc in the next stitch, 2 sc in the next stitch – repeat around. (18 stitches)
- Round 4: 1 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch – repeat around. (24 stitches)
- Rounds 5-8: Work 1 sc in each stitch around. (24 stitches in each round)

- Thread the yarn tail onto the tapestry needle. Weave the needle through the front loops of the remaining stitches in Round 15, pull tight to close the opening, and secure with a knot.
- Weave in any remaining ends.
Optional Keychain Modification:
To turn this pincushion into a keychain, simply attach a keychain ring or lobster clasp to the top of the pincushion before closing it up in Step 14.
