Crochet Pincushion Pattern:

Materials Needed:

  • Stuffing material (polyester fiberfill or scrap yarn)
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Instructions:

Pincushion Base:

  1. Start with a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: Chain 1, work 6 single crochet (sc) into the magic ring. Pull the ring tight. (6 stitches)
  3. Round 2: Work 2 sc in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
  4. Round 3: 1 sc in the next stitch, 2 sc in the next stitch – repeat around. (18 stitches)
  5. Round 4: 1 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch – repeat around. (24 stitches)
  6. Rounds 5-8: Work 1 sc in each stitch around. (24 stitches in each round)

Assembly: 13. Stuff the pincushion firmly with stuffing material.

  1. Thread the yarn tail onto the tapestry needle. Weave the needle through the front loops of the remaining stitches in Round 15, pull tight to close the opening, and secure with a knot.
